Pros: look good, quality construction
Cons: straps are nearly useless
I put these on my 93 Honda shadow 1100 last week. Easy to adjust the yoke and install on the bike, they look good and hold a decent amount of stuff. The fitted cases are smaller than you think but you could pack enough clothes for a one-person weekend trip in them. The rain covers don't look like they would help much and the design of the lid looks like it would let a lot of water in if it were to rain. This is definitely the biggest set of bags you could put on my bike or one similarly sized. I had to do a lot of adjusting to keep the bags from touching the exhaust and the rear shocks. For my application the straps are worthless. They are too far up on the bags to prevent much movement. My bike has small-ish bag stays on the fender and that combined with the stiffness of the bags themselves is enough to keep them well away from the wheel. If you think you're going to need the straps to keep them put you may want to keep looking or get some bag stays. The material they are made from is very stiff and the lip of the yoke that covers the zipper doesn't lay flat, it may relax once it warms up but results in something that isn't visually pleasing. If I had to do it over again I wouldn't have gotten the zip-offs. If all you need to do to remove your back seat is take off one nut or turn a key, don't bother with the zip-offs, you wont use the feature because it looks dumb with just the yoke sticking out of either side of the seat.

Pros: inexpensive
Cons: low quality
The construction is poor. There are snaps to prevent the zippers that hold the bags onto the yoke from un-zipping themselves, well they fall apart. Even if the bag isn't touching the exhaust, the heat still melts it and makes a mess of your pipes. The stitching is already falling apart and they haven't even seen rain. Don't buy these, they are garbage. I will be surprised if this review is actually posted.
