What is n-com?
Nolan's Communication System: for the first time, a helmet company manufactures their own communication system and builds helmets in which you can install a headset in minutes, without any modifications to the helmet.
What is Blue Tooth?
Wireless communication: with your cell phone if it's Blue Tooth equipped, with your passenger or with your GPS. Average talk time of 10 hours on the intercoms, plus you can't overcharge them. So just plug the unit in to charge and forget it.
Basic Kit: Use to listen to music and talk on phone. Order one per helmet. Installs in minutes. Includes earphones, microphone and short wires to plug into devices and the charger.
To take full advantage of the Basic Kits, you need an e-box. It is the black box that gets installed on the side of the helmet, when you remove the small door that is located on the left side of all N-Com ready helmets. Each e-box comes with a charger, and a battery.
E-Box Intercom: This unit for "wired communications". Add this to your helmet to connect your passenger, share your equipment, cell phone etc. Just snaps into the helmet and comes with a charger and battery.
E-Box Blue Tooth: The BlueTooth® e-box allows for wireless communications between your helmet and another BlueTooth® device: this can be your cellular phone, your passenger’s helmet, or a GPS.
Rider to Passenger communication:
Wired: 2 basic kits and 1 intercom unit.
Wireless: 2 basic kits and 2 Bluetooth E-Boxes.
Rider only usage:
Wired: 1 basic kit, either E-Box and any accessory wires.
Wireless: 1 basic kit and 1 Bluetooth E-Box.
