Pros: Good quality
Cons: A little longer than it needs to be
A good quality product. I wear it commuting to and from work on cold mornings. 35 degree temps at 65 mph under my leather jacket are not a problem for 20 minutes with this vest. I plan on also using it for hunting and fishing outings.

I started out with the gear at 100 and ended up pulling over after about 30 miles to turn the vest down a notch to 75. That is one disadvantage to this Vest. The battery which has the setting control on it is in the lower left hand pocket. This means you cant easily get to the control. I left the gloves at 100 the entire trip. The gloves have the battery/control on the topside so you can easily change the setting.
I was actually fairly comfortable the entire ride. With the exception of my toes. My fingers got a little cold but not so much that it was uncomfortable at all. Again, this is on a bike that basically has no wind protection at all. I think if I was on a fully faired bike I could very easily have turned the vest down to 25-50 as well as the gloves. I think if you live way up North where it gets really cold, you would be better served by some gear that plugs into the bike and has higher output. But those of us down here in the South where it doesn't get that cold this stuff will be fine
I also left the gear on after getting to work to see how long the batteries lasted at the settings they were on. the gloves at 100 lasted 3h15m the vest was at 100 for about 40m and then switched to 75 and lasted a total of 4h40m. All batteries were charged up 8 days ago and had been used about 10 minutes at that time and then left in my gear closet until this morning.
Mobile Warming Heated Classic Vest - Pilotpeat

Pros: Puts out a lot of heat
Cons: Heating elements are all in the upper part of the vest. Control is hard to access
I got this for using in an airplane that has marginal heat. The adjustment control is impossible to access in the pocket while belted in. The heating elements are all in the upper part of the vest, nothing in the lower back area where it would really feel nice. Next time I buy a heated vest I will be looking at the location of the controls and heating elements. Also it would be nice to be able to power it off of a 12v socket and not just the special battery that comes with it.
