Great tire - JAH
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: long lasting tire over 10k and can grip the corners just as well as any sport tire
Cons: front is a little slow on the turn.
i got 10.5k miles on my front tire. it finally started getting to the wear bars. they feel great and are just as good as any sport tire out there. the only thing i would complain about them in that the front tire is more U shaped and doesn't allow you to flick a turn as hard as a regular sport tire's V shape. but you should be able to get 10k miles out of them. i'll take that anyday
C-14 Long Lasting Tires - Greg AL
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Secure handling and long-lasting
Cons: None
The OEM tires on my 2009 C14 lasted 7200 miles front and 8600 rear. I just had my second set of PR2s mounted at 20,959 miles. The numbers don't lie- my PR2s lasted 13,800 front and 12,400 rear, and they still had some tread left. The front was cupped some and the rear had squared off, so I thought it was time for a new set. Choosing the PR2s again was a no-brainer. Get a set- you will love them.
Perfect tires for any street condition - Leprechaun
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great grip on cold and wet roads as well as hot and dry roads and they last
Cons: No faults
These are great tires and the package deal is so good for my Triumph Tiger 1050. They not only have a nice looking tread, but these tires are really effective in both wet and slippery road conditions as well as rides on those days with perfect conditions. They seem to warm up quickly and provide great grip leaning into corners as well as handling high milelage mundane freeway rides. These really rolls into corners nice and provide much more confidence at any speed. Very stable and quiet. Not sure why I would buy any other tires.
Perfect IronButt tires - BlackBird '99
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Durability, grip
Cons: [None]
I mounted these tires on my CBR11XX in 2011 for a cross country trip, hoping for 10K. 2 IronButt and cross the US trip later, the tires have finally ran out of tread. Hot desert, drenched South and freezing Yellowstone the tires performed flawlessly. Great on the highway but also great on such a heavy bike in the twisties, I scraped the footpeg feelers so grip at high lean angle was never a problem. In 2012 I mounted them on my Hayabusa, ran them coast to coast, 1200 miles in California's twisties and still had life left to do another 2000 miles on them.Great tires
14,000 miles on '08 FJR - Sam
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Best all-round tire for commutingsemi-spirited riding
Cons: None
Most riding is done in PNW. Rear still had quite a ways to go before the wear bars. Decided to replace both before a long trip. Quick warm up times even in the 30s. Turn-in was way better than OEM Metzler Z6s. Confidence-inspiring even with pegs scraping on slightly banked 90s in Central Oregon.
11,000 Miles on C-14 - '08 C-14
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great tire, can take a beating, best bang for the bucks
Cons: None
These tires have performed well through the heat, storms, rain, highway miles, The Gap, and rough back roads of WVA. This is the best performing tire i have ever used on my C-14 I am at odds over choosing this tire again and the PR3. With almost 40,000 miles on my bike I can truly say that this bike is tough and unforgiving on tires that can't own up to its power and the tasks of sport touring. The PR2s lived up to the challenge and continue to do so. They have saved me mega bucks One set over the price of two or three and installation of the other brands Once again, 11,000 miles and counting
9440 mile tires on a ZX12-R - K.S. Boston
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Long life tire with incredible traction.
Cons: If someone finds a con to these tire let me know, because I can't
9440 miles out of the Pilot Road 2 on a Kawasaki ZX12-R is incredible. I could barely squeak over 3500 miles out of BT-016s. I tried my hardest to find an issue with these tires, and failed to do so. From pushing a 177 horsepower 500 pound hyper-bike through the corners in the North Carolina mountains to super slabbing at warp speed, these tire never failed to impress me. Wet weather traction is so good that lifting the front tire in a rain storm isn't an issue. Great tires in the rain. I tried to get the tires to break loose trail breaking VERY deep into a corner, once I felt the front start to lose traction, letting off the front brake they hooked right back up. Very confident inspiring tire in the corners The warm up time is fairly short, even on a sub 32 degree day. The only time the back tire let go, was on a wet road with the tires still cold. All around great sport touring tire, very high mileage and dang near velcro in the corners. You get plenty of warning if they try to let loose, nothing abrupt, and very predictable. No cupping on the front tire what so ever and the back barely flat spotted. Track day tires they are not, and I'd never expect them to be. I'll never run a Sport tire again as long as Michelin continues to make these. Thanks to Competition Accessories for a great deal on an awesome set of tires
2007 Yamaha FJR1300 - Michael
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Great wear, great traction
Cons: Rear tire slow to break in, wet traction on rear is horrible until broke in
I own a 2007 FJR1300 and I purchased these tires about 2 years ago. I have approx 6,500 miles on them. You can really feel when you start to use the soft rubber on the front tire. It will grip and makes the bike turn very nicely. As far as wear goes, the tire comes with 632nds on the front and 832nds on the rear. I measured them after 6500 miles and I have 332nds on the front and 632nds on the back. Based on those numbers, I expect to get about 10-12k miles on the front and about 20-24k miles from the rear. Great wearing tire. As far as the grip goes in the wet, the rear is slippery until broke in. I think it took about 2-3k miles to finally get the rear broke in. In the wet, when engine braking, the rear would always lose traction and skate around. Overall, a great tire and I will definitely be staying with Michelin. The make great tires for just about anything that has or needs a tire.

Put these on my FJR after the stock Metzler Roadtec Z6's wore out and wow these tires are great The feel and cornering are amazing My first ride with them was from Stowe, VT over to Portland ME via the Kangamangus Parkway and wow what a ride to scuff them in Haven't been out in the wet with them yet but the dry grip and corning is simply superb If these tires last as long as I have heard they do I will definitely be buying more of them down the road I highley recommend them

I weigh 205 and have an 08' gsxr 750 and i have 12000 miles on these tires so far! The back tire still has a little life left and the front still has plenty left on it! I'm pretty sure the front tire will last until i use up another rear one. i hope they don't stop making these tires, cause they last really well.
You know how it is...when they make something good they stop making it lol. Anyway, if you want a tire with great grip and great tread life, then this is the best tire out there, PERIOD! PILOT ROAD 2CT!!!
R1
Perfect all-around street tires, love them on my R1. Great grip plenty for even aggressive street riding, great handling, awesome wear, and they are good in the rain. Had Pilot Powers on before and rarely had a chance to use their grip, especially because they wore out so soon. Over 10k mi on front and still looking good, only replaced rear because I ran over a big piece of steel that put a 1" slice through the casing.
06 Kat 750
I decided to try new rubber, having run Dunlops, Pirelli Strada's and Metzler Z-6's - the Z-6's being my preferred hoops. These PRII's surpass even the Z-6's even without a full scrub in! The response is incredible, tip in razor sharp and completely sure footed. Handling in downpours has been a non issue - very planted as well as in dry. These PRII's are now my hoops of choice!

First off thanks to Competition Accessories for an outstanding price and super fast delivery!!!! 5 Star service!! I mounted these on my 08 GSXR 1000 that I recently purchased. It's a brand new left over and after 3000 miles in one month it was time for new tires. These tires are awesome. I rode this past Sunday 9-12-10 456 miles of twisty roads in Arkansas, and I am an aggressive street rider on the back roads. Not one clitch, slip or bad feedback from these tires. If you need more grip from a tire then you better be on the track with race tires, period!!!! I don't know how they stack up in the rain as of yet, but I will find out. I am totally confident in these tires, and if they last twice as long as the others I've used then they are well worth the money spent. Until something different from Michelin comes along these will be the only street sportbike tires I will ever run!!!! I am now a believer and faithful follower of the Pilot Road 2 CT tires.

Gotten 14,000 mi on sets. Definitely highly recommended.

These are the best tires ever. I am going on my second set on my VFR. They are great in the rain, progressive when its dry, and last forever. I couldn't be happier with them.
Lenguado FJR
These are awesome tires!!! Best I have had on my FJR - bar none. Gone through a number of sets of OEM Bridgestones and Metzlers - and the Pilot Road 2's are exceeding all of my expectations. About to turn over 10,000 miles on my current set - with maybe a few thousand left. Not BS there - very serious.
I ride hard drag toes & pegs and my bike is usually pretty heavy from all the gear I normally ride with. I just got back from two days on the Blue Ridge Pkwy and The Dragon with these tires having over 9,000 miles on them - and they didn't miss a beat. Passed some sport bikes on the Dragon with them - with no worries in the hard corners.
These tires stick in the turns, but have longevity needed for touring. And 100 wet weather confidence. I put over 4,500 miles on a trip from Orlando to Tucson on this current set right after I put them on the bike - and they showed no wear after that trip. These are AWESOME Super Sport Touring tires!!!!!!
Hardenfast50
I have 2500 miles and really like these tires...they make my K1200 handle much much better. The more I think about it, 2-compound is a great idea for sport tourers, should be the norm. Tires are light and heat-up pretty fast, turn-in is medium to fast, mid-corner is stable yet fairly changable on my heavy Beemer. a problem before w/Metzlers
Kbikeman
K1200RS - This has been the best - bar none - tire I have used to date. I ride everyday between commuting and days off that there is no ice unless the temperature drops below my personal limit of 26 degrees. Great rain tire and the wear or lack of it is superior. I have lost more tires to nails than anything else.
Blackbird Owner
I have been with the Michelin Food Chain since the Macadam 90X was OEM on my Blackbird. I then went to the 100x, Pilot Road and HPX. I experienced some front tire warpage and cupping with the Macadams and Roads after about 4000 miles and flat spots after about 5000 on the rears. I currently have the Road 2's and I am blown away. I am an aggressive distance rider and ride in ALL weather conditions including sleet on occassion Canada. My Road 2's have over 7000 miles on them currently and they literally still look new. The performance is the best I have ever experienced in any Michelin ever. I will buy these again without question. Bye the way, this is also the first time I have used dyna beads for balancing...I am also convinced this has been a major contributor to the tire life and excellent wear characteristics I am experiencing. One more thing...Cheers to Compacc for the bets tire recomendations, tire prices and service 2nd to none.

RT Rider
I love these tires... I only average about 6K out of a set on my RT unlike the people who claim to get 10K plus out of them. Different styles of riding i guess... I don't ride super agressive but have been know to drag a peg now and then. They have great cornering, wet traction, dry traction and seem to warm up without to much effort. This is my 4th set and somebody will have to come up with something pretty spectacular to get me to switch. These tires ride awesome consistently, day to day, mile to mile. Highly recommended!
Army Guy
Got 9,247 miles out of my Pilot Power tires. Based on the recommendation of my local bike shop I switched to Pilot Road 2's. 2,000 miles in and I can't even see any wear. They handle great for all of the twisties and stick really well when the road is wet. I expect to get between 15,000 - 18,000 miles out of these duel compound tires, which is great on a 500 lbs BMW R12S.

I don't know how anyone can rate a tire without wearing it out, especially motorcycle tires. I get around 6-7K out of a PR rear, 7-8K our of a Z6, 6-7 from Storms, and 10-13 from ME880s. I am on my second set of PR2's with 6K and maybe I will get 2K more, I only got 7K on my first PR2 rear. This wear is about equal to the Z-6's overall. The PR are inspiring in the corners and allow edge to edge wear without concern. I like them, but don't like the speed in which they wear out.

I am on my second set of these having been through about five sets of Conti Road Attack tires I was desperate for something with good wet and cornering but longevity. I was getting as little as three grand out of rears and five on fronts riding two up a lot and switched to these Road twos with better result. I got about seven on the rear first time around and about seven and a half on the front. The fronts fooled me I thought they'd go much longer. They make a humming sound in the front and the rears vibrate and the first rear cupped badly a first for me as mostly fronts cup . These were the opposite . They say there is a "b" version and so far I have not seen them so this may be the inconsistency in rear mileage as a second tire was bought without regard to B signage and it really sounds fuzzy in a hard lean with two up. Almost like a bad bearing sound and feel. Aside from noise and vibration they wear better stick as good and get better mileage fuel has been noticeably better than the contis I was using. Oh and they feel much more surefooted on uneven and loose surfaces like gravel. I really like them noise notwithstanding.
Someone said they are out of production though due to a new model, I have not been able to verify that.

These have been the best set of tires I've ever had on my bikes. They wear great and have great tractions. I don't know about others but I find them somewhat noisy though.
2002 FZ1
My road 2 tire lasted 5,000 miles before it went bald on the sides.
this is about 40 better then a true sport tire for me at about 30 higher price then many sport tires. mine was very slippery for the first 100 miles and I would rate wet weather traction at a B- dry traction was OK with knee down riding possible. bump obsorbtion was maybe a C and turn in was very fast twitchy would be a good description.
part of the descrepency may be in riding style, expectations, or the fact that some of these tires are made in france while others are made in Thailand. Mine said made in thailand on the side.
