Michelin Pilot Road 2 Tires were developed using Michelin's newest technology and resulted in an innovative design for maximizing wet traction. Michelin Pilot Road 2 Tires are constructed out of a special compound that enhances cornering power and road grip to give a sure footed feeling on the road. Although Michelin Pilot Road 2 Tires are excellent in wet conditions, they are unbeatable on dry roads as well. Environmentally sound, patented Michelin Pilot Road 2 Tires will make the next road trip on your bike feel like the best you've ever had.
Until now, you had to make a choice: the grip of a softer tire - or the durability of a harder tire? But thanks to Michelin 2CT dual-compound technology, MICHELIN® Pilot® Road 2 tires offer both grip and durability in one tire. By integrating a soft rubber compound on the tread shoulders with a wear-resistant compound down the middle, Michelin gives you the best of both worlds. The Pilot® Road 2 tire is like two tires in one.

I put this tire on 18k miles ago and it has been excellent for traction, wear and handling. I'm ordering my replacement today!!! Not had a tire to do this well and would recommend it for anyone!!!
Good Tire-Upgrade TO PR3 next - Jerry, Bel Air, MD

Pros: Great in rain and dry
Cons: Defined squirrely handling when worn
Have 8500 miles on the PR2s on mt 2000 RT1100. Rear has plenty of tread left but front has bad crown wear on left side. Really catches road irregularities and moves the font end around. Am ordering anew front tire and when the ear is gone, will order a set of PR3s to try. The pr2 is a good neutral handling tire.

PR2 on my 2008 BMW K1200GT has been as good as or better than other brands. But after 6,000 miles it causes the front to wander on grooved or uneven pavement.
This problem is less than other brands used. I'm going to try the new PR3 next.
