I have used this bulb in a tail light that inserts in the trailer hitch when the hitch is not being used. It is wired so that it activates only when I hit my brakes, which makes it rapidly pulse a brilliant red. It is a first class attention grabber!
Prior to installing this product I had been rammed twice by careless drivers talking on cell phones. No one has hit me since I started using this product. It is impressive and I am most pleased.

Not sure if legal in CA.
They do rotate, pulse, and switch between left and right if you have two tail lights. This seems to remain the condition permanently.
They do flash when you hit the rear brake, which is all I really wanted.
I did not understand the advertisement to mean that they do their circus act just by being on. I would not have purchased them had I known. Cops love to hassle bikers around here for any lighting excuse, legal or not.
SHORT LIFE
The first one I ordered lasted less than a week. This second one lasted less than a year. Not a good investment. Lessons learned...........
