Cons: Adjustment during installation is difficult - and you only get one chance
I really like having these for another option for where how to rest my feet during a long ride. I bought the required adapters for mounting. The adapter bolts to the bike and then into the foot peg. The design is flawedThe adapter has a cone shaped end that fits into a cone shaped area of the foot peg. Basically one cone sliding into the other. To keep the foot peg from rotating on the cone of the adapter, the adapter has four protrusions small tabs. HOWEVER, instead of the foot pegs having prescribed detentes for the adapter tabs to fit into, as you tighten the foot peg to the adapter, detentes are created. That's fine IF the foot pegs are exactly where you want them. Because, once the detentes are made...they are there to stay. If you want to move the pegs just a little bit, you can't because it slips into the existing detente - or creates one large detente. If you need to move them quite a bit, that's not a problem.. However, I have one peg rotated higher than the other. It really isn't noticeable when they are just used a pegs. But, when you flip out the stirrup and are resting flat footed on them, it is very noticeable. I called Kurayakn and was basically told the only thing I can do is buy another set of adapters they don't sell just one and hope to get it right that time. They weren't the least bit concerned. This is the second and last Kurayakn product I've purchased. I'm very disappointed with what they turn out.You really need your bike straight up when installing these.... not tilted on the kick stand. Have someone help you. You can only rest your foot lightly on these until they are firmly bolted... so have someone bolt them on create the detentes while you have your foot on them. It is the only way I know to make sure you have them level uniform from side to side.
