Joe Rocket Speedmaster 3.0 Boots are the perfect mix between street and track. If you are one of those street guys that may not make it out to the track enough to get a full on race boot, the Speed Master 3.0 would be an ideal match for you. With this boot you are provided a nice amount of support and protection, while still maintaining flexibility-- unlike the super stiff full on race boots. The perforated split grain leather and the venting system will help keep your feet cool on those warm days, especially those hot track days. There is a ratcheting system for superior comfort around the shin and calf area. For protection the Joe Rocket Speedmaster 3.0 has an injection molded shin, heel, and even, ankle armor. On this boot there is a Titanium ankle plate to help prevent abrasion. Also, these boots have replaceable magnesium sliders. Overall, like all Joe Rocket gear, you get a nice product at an even better price. If you enjoy the twisties on the street and hammer out some track days, the Speedmaster boots are for you!
A literal “ground up” redesign of the Speedmaster series boot has resulted in the perfect fusion of protection and mobility ... in other words, we’ve found the race-ready “sweet spot.” Robust armor where you need it, without sacrificing comfort or mobility. Great boot - Nandor MI

Pros: Very comfortable, suprised at how good the airflow thru the boot is
Cons: Not enough inner ankle protection.
I wondered how these would work for spoert touring and mx trail riding. I wore them around for a couple of days to break them in and they got real comfortable Easy to wear and walk around in. Excellent construction, fit and finish. For my usage plans i would have liked better inside ankle support. I did take them for a ride across town in 50 degree weather and my feet stayed warm despite the airflow coming thrunthe front leather perforations. Im sure my feet wont overheat with summer wear. Overall highly reccomend these boots
Awesome boots - Speedmaster 3.0 MD

Pros: Looks great. Really light weight. Seems to be very protective. Like how the velcro zipper sticks to the upper portion of the boot.
Cons: Almost 300. Stiff feel to them.
I have no doubt that these boots will definitely protect your feet, ankles, and calves in the event of a fall. They are stiff feeling but comfortable enough to casually walk around in. Up shifting feels weird because you have to really feel for the lever. Down shifting is ok due to the natural resting place of your foot. It takes a little bit to get used to. Overall a great boot indeed. Then again, that's Joe Rocket for you
Great Boot - GAFastoneTerry

Pros: comfort, fit, sizing, track features
Cons: not a full on race boot
This a great product in my opinion for commuting and even the occassional track day. The boot is made very well and is able to withstand quite a bit of abuse. Have had these since father's day and they have been great. I wore them to the AMA race at Barber's Motorsport and they were suprisingly comfortable. Did not even need to change shoes for the event and they vent well as they are perforated. I would really recommend these to any rider. You can feel the ankle support in the boot, but it may have been better suited if the mechanism was exposed as you do not know exactly how rigid and how much impact this item could withstand and for that reason I would not recommend this item for full on track users.
