Those of us that were lucky enough to own a Joe Rocket Meteor jacket know that it was a fantastic jacket that was waterproof, had a fully sleeved insulated liner, and it vented very well. A lot of people have asked what the deal is since the Meteor jacket is no longer in the lineup. Well fear not, Rocket fans. The Joe Rocket Atomic 4.0 has all of the features that the Meteor had, but with updated styling and a re-designed torso ventilation system. Rather than having zip off panels (which can be lost - don't ask me how I know), there are two large vertical zippers that snap together, which holds them open to form the perfect intake air scoop. Other vents on the Atomic Jacket include zippered vents at the sleeves and exhaust vents at the back. Waterproof zippers are used which helps to keep water out, while the Sure-Fit adjustable waistband helps to form a good seal at the base of the jacket. The Joe Rocket Atomic 4.0 really is one of the most comfortable all season jackets there is.

With so many choices I had a hard time selecting the right jacket. I saw this one at my local dealer's for about 20 more than what Competition Accessories sells it for. Overall the jacket has a lot of adjustment to ensure the perfect fit. The removable liner makes it the perfect dual season jacket. I have already had it out in the rain and the jacket is 100 waterproof. I enjoy the internal pocket to hold my cell phone and money. There are plenty of vents to get air flowing in those 90 degree days. There are elbow vents, back vents, and chest vents, all of which are operated by zippers and are easy to open and close while on the bike except for the back vents. This jacket is well work the price and it stands out from the rest.
