Overall, I love my new helmet. When I first became interested in modular helmets, the prices were way out of my reach. The HJC IS-MAX BT provides a great helmet for a great price when purchased through Competition Accessories. The helmet could use a few more vents but is not bad enough to make a huge difference. I ordered the flat black and added a smoke tintedgold mirrored face shield for about 30 to make this a bad-to-the-bone helmet The easy to use drop-down sun visors are perfect for those evenings when riding into a setting sun. Press one button for them to retract after the sun goes down and now you do not have to stop to take off your sunglasses.

Recently purchased a HJC IS-MAX helmet . Price was the best I found any where. Service and delivery were excellent. The sun visor operation is very easy to use and is much sturdier than many other brands I looked at locally .Simply can not beat features for the price . I will buy a second one for my spouse

This is the 4th HJC helmet I've purchased. I really enjoy the ability to be able to flip up the visor when stopped. Also appreciate the built in recess for the Chatterbox intercom. Makes talking to my passenger easy. Also able to answer a phone call or listen to music.

Great helmet for the price. I got the lowest price on the internet and free shipping to boot I was prepared to wait 5-7 days for delivery but it was on my doorstep in 3 days. On the road the helmet is fairly quiet. I wear earplugs or ear-buds so wind noise is not a problem. The fit is a little snug which is what you want on a new helmet. I'm very happy with my purchase.

This is the best helmet I have ever owned, including more expensive Arai and Shoei. I need a sunshield: check. I need bluetootth capable: check. I need modular: check. Okay, let's see here. Noise is low, looks awesome, and is actually functional. Buy this helmet! I ride a 1995 Ducati 900SS SP and even at high speeds the bluetooth that is sold separately works great with this helmet.

I don't have much to compare this to, but it is a great helmet. At higher speeds above 70 it's a bit noisy, but when I wear my Sure ear buds that are like ear plugs, it takes care of that. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a modular helmet without making a car payment to buy one.

I already have this helmet in a medium and I like it a lot. The main reason I bought the same again, was because I knew how it fit and didn't have any problems with the first one.It is a little noisy, but it is a modular and I've read most of these are. It would be hard to beat it for the price. I only gave about 120.00 for it after my comp cash and sale price.

I have had this helmet with the chatterbox. The trick to be able to hear this at high speeds is make sure you have set the speakers as close to your ears as possible common sense but harder to do. Once you have achieved this this helmet rides great and can hear great tunes at high speeds.

As a result of a low speed slide crash, I fell off my bike and my head hit the pavement. My helmet, which was properly fastened and put on properly, popped open all the way -- exposing my chin, resulting in an injury which needed 3 stitches to fix. Now I have an IS-16 full face which offers more protection.
