My old man has been riding for over , yes fifty years & he loves this helmet more than the shuberth sorry about spelling that I paid way too much for because I thought it was the best to protect him. Well, he LOVES this helmet. It fit perfectly. More than advertised, as displayed by the look on my husbands face as he looked at the helmet & discovered features that he has never had before in a helmet but desired greatly to make his rides more enjoyable. Hard to impress someone that has riden that long. Bought this today, I have a big oval head and only Shoie's and HJC's seem to fit me well. Excellent quality helmet for the money. The shield system is great and works well even after I slip on my bifocals.The snug fit means the chin bar is close to you But not touching my chin. excellent periphrial vision. Very glad I got it

I have had mostly Shoei and Arai helmets in the past. I recently purchased a used bike that included a nice HJC helmet and I was impressed with the quality. Unfortunately, it was a size Large and was a bit too tight for me. I found this IS-16 on sale for a great price at compacc and decided to give it an Extra Large a try.
Out of the box I was impressed by the features of the helmet. Lots of vents, breath shield, tinted internal secondary shield, storage bag. When I tried it on, it was TIGHT! Seemed much tighter that the large. Instead of returning it, I decided to try it for a while and I'm glad that I did. After a few rides it now fits great, it just needed to be broken in.
I went on a 350 mile ride last weekend and couldn't be much happier. I'd highly recommend this helmet. My only negative is that it is a bit noisier than I'd like.

An excellent helmet for the cost!. I own and have owned several full face helmets and HJC helmets are a really nice fit for my long oval head. This helmet is very light.

This is a solid helmet and a good value. The sun visor is well designed and works easily. I have had an HJC helmet before so I knew that despite the sizing chart recommendation there was no way my 7.5 head would fit fit comfortably in a large but an XL is perfect. All the controls for vents work well. The face mask is stiff to lift and lower but does get easier. As with most full face helmets peripheral visibility is somewhat limited.

I have been impressed with HJC helmets. This is my second one and it is very comfortable. It is early in the season and the chin curtain helps keep the cold morning air away from my head. The internal goggles work really well but could be darker. The price was right and I would recommend this helmet to anyone.
