Cons: perefial vision very dissapointing
This is an excellent helmet I've owned several HJC helmets My last 2 were AC 12's I was disappointed that they changed the model and up until the FG-17 I didn't like the models in the affordable range. I didn't want one with a flip sun shield. They seemed cheaply made and were not shell approved. The FG-17 fits snug and is super comfortable, I find that the HJC helmets are sized a little small so order one size larger The biggest improvement over the AC-12 is the face shield, it snaps tight and has a good ratchet affect. When closed it is air tight. As always with a HJC helmet it includes a helmet bag.a nice touch My only complaint is it does not have the perfphal vision that the AC-12 did. I noticed it right away, I found myself turning my head much more than with the AC-12 checking for cars when changing lanes. This is a major safety issue to me, Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
