Pros: Easy to install, aerodynamic, takes the pressure off of my chest
Cons: Airflow above makes for a noisy ride
There may not be a good answer after all, if you're on a motorcycle, you expect to be in the wind. But commuting on an upright, naked bike can be tiring, so I needed a way to get the air pressure off of my chest. This was the second windshield I bought. I really hated the other one, so I wasn't upset when it got broken. This installs easily and allows a lot of variation in positioning, so after a few rides I found a position that worked for me. The biggest problem is that the air that would have been pushing my chest back is now flowing over the top of the windshield and past my helmet. Fortunately, due to the curvature of the windshield, it's a fairly clean airflow, so there's no buffeting. I have it set as high as it will go, which means there's some space between the bottom of the shield and my headlight. This allows some air underneath, which is actually nice in the summer, though I may be looking for a way to block it when it gets cold outside. One of the plastic caps that covers the screws fell off, but I suppose that's to be expected on a motorcycle. I should have used some sort of temporary adhesive on the caps once I was satisfied with the positioning. In any case, it seems to be of very high quality and it doesn't spoil the looks of the motorcycle. I wish they made the same thing in a 5-inch taller version.
