The Gaerne Balance Oiled Boot is named because of its oiled leather construction. It has 3 lightweight alloy buckles that are replaceable with a breathable Gaerne Drytech membrane liner that keeps your feet dry. The front shin guard is injection molded giving you ultimate shin protection. A gum rubber sole makes for a comfortable feel and control, even in wet weather conditions. It's not everyday that you see a brown leather motorcycle boot. These are very unique that have personal preference that will remind you of a brown leather work boot. The Gaerne Balance Oiled Boots have a great look and feel with safety in mind.

I'm a 43 yr old dual sport rider, 80 street, 20 trails. For me, these boots are great. They're waterproof, comfortable on and off the bike, and did I mention comfortable I can walk around off the bike without feeling like I'm wearing ski boots, I actually forget I'm wearing motorcycle boots. More support would be nice, but like dual sport stuff in general, there's always a trade-off. If you're a hardcore off road rider or like to catch lots of air, these are not the boots for you.
