Great Gear - c2cpilot
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Versatile, great protection, nice ventilation.
Cons: Trying to come up with some....
I was reluctant to buy the Kathmandu jacket and pants due to the initial got over it price. Let me tell you this...it's worth every penny I wore the jacket and pants to a cornerspin school last weekend and took some pretty hard spills in dirt. I just knew I was destroying the suit. Got home and threw it in the washer and it came out like it was still new I could not believe itThe armor protected me very well I did wear a back plate also I came down hard on my left forearm and elbow and with out the protection of this gear I feel no doubt there would have been injury...I got up dusted off and throttled on...Do yourself a favor, stop thinking about the price and just know you stand a better chance of riding more comfortably in this suit....not to mention more safely
Good Jacket, works well - Adventure man
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Hypertex membrane, zip out liners, water bladder
Cons: [None]
I would definitely recommend this jacket to another fellow rider.. I've ridden with the jacket for one whole season in a mixture of Dual Sport, Adventure Riding, Sport Touring and Long Distance Endurance Riding. The features are awesome. From the included water bladder to the zip out liners and the hypertex waterproof membrane - everything works.
poor pocket design - keith NM
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: water proof, wind proof
Cons: poor pocket design
where as the suit is nice and light while providing protection from the elements the front lower cargo pockets leave a lot to de desired. the pockets have an envelope closure with velco to keep it closed but the material is not stiff enough to retain it's shape after a couple of uses. if you tighten the hip belt any at all that also deforms the pocket further. with he use of rubberized zippers on the vents and two other pockets it would have been nice to follow through with the idea. i would not trust the pockets to retain or keep any valuables dry.
