I returned these as I found the fit to be very big through the waist, but OK in the legs. There is no adjustability to the waist since the velcro closure pulls across the zipper and snap and is ineffective. For me the waist was much bigger than the listed size XL was supposed to be 36 inch waist, but yet the legs fit fine.

With your arm fully extended, measure from the center back of neck at spine to the wrist bone.
