Crazy grip - Henry
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: great grip, smooth transition, best price in this performance group.
Cons: center compound isn't really much harder than sides.
This tire is ridiculously good. I have put two on my 07 zx10r. I have a my first front on the way, and plan to put a new rear on before my Barber day next month. This tire makes the bike stick like glue leaned all the over to the edges with your knee on the ground. I ride twisties and ride to work some which is why I wish the center was a little longer, and I couldn't be happier. I ran the regular pilot powers before this and loved them, but these are a whole different ball game. Add to the equation Dunlops competitive pricing and these are a no brainer.
Dunlop got it right - RumbleFish CA

Pros: Confidence inspiring
Cons: Maybe they could last a bit longer, but then again...
I currently ride an 08 CBR1000RR. In the past, I've tried Michelin, Metzler & Bridgestone. For me, the Dunlop Q2's are the best street track day tire out there. I also LOVE the D211, but they're really for the trackDo take my word for it. Read the Sport Rider 2012 Street Tire Test. The Q2's are the winner by a long shot.

Pros: everything
Cons: nothing
My bike is set up for road racing. Ive tried different tires before and none have the proformance of these. I used to use the D208 Dunlops. When I found out they quit making them, I didnt know that they were coming out with these. I went to other tires and HATED THEM When I found out Dunlop had these out I bought some. I took off a set that only had 1400 or so miles on them and replaced them with these. The Q2 is an AMAZING TIRE ALL AROUND. I can go soft in the curves or go hard.which is always more fun. I ride the App Mts alot with my crew and these tires never lose grip or anything. I like the fact that it looks as if the tire has more of a mushroom than other tires. That allows for more lean angle. Even with very late Apexing...this tire get me in and out of the turn quickly and more important...SAFTLY I will always buy these tires and I recommend that you do too. You WONT be disappointed
Very good sport riding tire - Mike's Olde Bikes

Pros: Sticky tire that will last a reasonable number of miles for a reasonable amount of moola.
Cons: [None]
I and several of my riding buddies have been using these Q2s on our sportbikes for a while now. They are sticky, predictable, and last a while. They are not too expensive either, especially if you hit a good sale. I have had a few slight losses of traction due to gravel, fast downshifts no slipper clutch or TC on my bike, or poor pavement conditions while running these Q2s but they have always hooked up again predictably and kept me rolling with the shiny side up. A KTM Super Duke and Ducati Streetfighter are what we have the most experience with when running these tires. We like to ride our bikes at a pretty brisk pace in the mountains of the Southeast USA. Depending on the bike they are being run on, rears are good for 1,500 to 3,000 miles and fronts are good for three to two times that mileage. These Q2s have been easy enough to mount when using a good quality manual tire-changing machine and have taken little to no weight to achieve balance.

Holy moly, sports fans, these tires are just about perfect! Completely ruined the OEM tires on my 2010 Z1000 in 3200 miles. Between aggressive riding and engine breaking I had no tread and Kevlar shining through on the rear. Never felt completely confident, either.
These things are unbelievable. Two hours after having them fitted, I had completely scrubbed them in between the sidewalls with not a single high pucker factor moment at any lean angle. The rear has a 55 profile, as opposed to the stock 50, and the improved tip-in alone is worth the price.
Guess what I'm doing this long Memorial Day weekend. Hanging with the Rolling Thunder dog-paddlers Yeah, right. GTFOOMW posers!

Great tire! Feel more confident, and quick warm up. This tire is great for street rider, that also does some track days!!

the Q2's absorb bumps great, warm up fast, and make me feel like a pro on the twisty's. Price per performance is second to non.

I have these tires on my sweet 2008 Honda Cbr 600rr. These tires are everything advertised. I first saw them in one of the many sportbike subscriptions I get monthly. I was impress with the reviews it received from numerous testers. They were so good that I bought them while having a new backup set of the standard Dunlop Qualifiers. I sold the regular Qualifiers & had the Q2's installed. BOY! CHEESING the grip is PHENOMONAL! My freinds are crazy about the Michelin's 2CT's but my money is on the Q2's.

Had the opportunity to put these on my DUC 1098. I think hands down, these out performed Pirelli Dragons.
CBR 1000
This is by far the best tire deal anywhere!
I had Bridgestone's as my stock tire, and needless to say they were only adequate.
From the moment I put the Q2's on, there was a night and day difference in the handling of the bike and the cornering.
You couldn't pay me to go back to the stock junk.
Dunlop has made the ultimate street tire, as far as I'm concerned.....AWESOME!

Mr. Bojangles should stick to dancing. He doesn't know anything about tires or motorcycles. These tires are bloody awesome. I'm about to order my 2nd set. Got about 2700 miles of all canyon riding out of them. THE best tires I have ever had,
B.C.
So I had chance to break in my Q2's today
.I ride an 06 CBR 600RR.I think they are quite impressive;
turn in is nice and precise with little effort. They warm up pretty quick. They are very stable under hard braking
Love the new profile.Oh cornering traction is awsome both in and out of cornersas is acceleration.Dunlop nailed it this time!

Great tire. Did a trackday at Streets of Willow with them on my 09' R1, and had no slips at all.

I had a chance to break in Sunday and i have a 7in ext swing arm and about 160 at the rear tire the Q2 tires did Better than I ever thought STICK STICKY STUCK to the road all I can say is WoW!!!!!!!
Tony
I had the chance to break them in today, here are my thoughts:
1.turn in - really don't quite understand what the heck is linear steering till today! very impressive, i think that helped me to concentrate exiting the corner alot.
2.breaking - i have notice my breaking distance increase accordingly, I'm thinking it might be the harder compound in the center that didn't grip as much comparing to Conti
3.leaning - although today in SoCal, we had high 60 and mid 70s temperture, I didn't want to test out the grip of the tire, my objectives were just scrip off all surface on the tire, it turn out, as you dip more, the more confidence you get, which is something i have never enhance before.
4.warming up - Dunlop tires seems has slower warming up time then Conti... . Once warmed up, very sticky, i would think it goes beyond PP2CT sticky...
all in all, i think the Dunlop didn't falsely advertised this time...
i like it very much, just hope they would last more then 3K....

Great tire.. on second set now.

BoJangles. Yes you are 100 correct, Dunlop takes forever to warm up
if you are only going 5mph on the track. lol.
I tried them at Auto Club Speedway @ level 3 groupadvanced group. fast warm up and good feedback.

These tires are way better than the stock tires, I ride an 08 Hayabusa and nobody can believe how I manage to lean such a heavy bike over so far in the corners, the traction on these tires is outstanding but, 0nce you get to about 4k miles you have to change them I bought them twice I got 4,000 miles on the first set and 4,100 on the second set before they started slipping. These tires are fantastic you will enjoy your bike more with a set of these tires on it!

I ride a 08 1k gixxer and commute a lot. Round trip to work and home about 80 plus miles. I do canyons on weekends with friends. I have to say that it's great on canyons. Most of my buddies have michelin 2ct and claim that it stick like glue. Well, these dunlop works just as well and probably last longer. I got almost 9k on the set I have now and about to order another set. These are great tires and the price is awesome.
OhnoJD!
Must echo the positive reports of the other guys-installed first on my 08 CBR1k and did trackday with it on a very technical course-predictable,neutral,balanced grip and great drive.Liked them so much, installed on my trackday Ninja, vicious power from this bike produced calm, controlled rear breakaways with clean hookup-very confidence inspiring! No,they wont go 10000 miles, but that's the tradeoff,I guess. Ride safe!

The review I read from Mr. Bo Jangeles could not be further from the truth. I tried a set if these Q2's and loved them they warmed up almost rightaway. I ride an R1 and keep it in the 10,000 rpm range offten this tire almost forces me to try an make it slip. Not once did it fail awsome tire. if I had to say anything bad about it, is that it seemed to not last as long as id like. confident builder heck yea! I will buy a second pair because i'd reather confident grip than long last if I had to choose.

I ride a ZRX 1200 with a Muzzy motor140M miles, a KTM SM 950 45M miles and a bottle fed Busa 15M miles.I put Q2s on the Zrex. About the 20th set of tires on her. I run with a fast group and ride EVERY day. Q2s are the fastest wearing, slowest heating tires I've run. Wore them out in two weeks and almost fell twice.Tucked the front once and spun the rear on the sidewall at over 100 mph;Yippie! GPAs last as long and aren't any slower to temp and aren't as slippery before they heat. Once they're hot they felt good at the limit. Just trying to warn people to heat them well before you run them to the sidewall. BT014's 16's and 23's all stick as well or better than the Q2s, are much faster to heat, last longerfronts don't wear funny like Dunlops and are better in the wet. If you want a cheap track day tire,or if you only ride twisties on weekends, the Q2s work great. Not a good everyday tire even at the price.

After reading the various reviews online I purchased these tires to replace my bt-016's. Got to say they take a while to warm up, need to be run at a really low air pressure and still do not instill confidence. Switching back to Bridgestones ASAP.
