Charger is a Plus - Rick Pelosi CA
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: Compact Size, Plug-in ease of use, versatility and accessories
Cons: [None]
I really think this a great unit being able to charge the batteries of all my vehicles with multiple types of batteries in them. No noticeable heat from the unit gives you peace of mind leaving the charger unattended overnight in the garage.

Pros: It works.

After replacing a rather expensive BMW battery...I decided to be a bit more careful in maintaining the battery health of my motorcycles. I own three bikes and each one has its own Deltran Battery Tender Plus. Seeing the green lights glow provides considerable assurance that everything is OK.

Have had this model for eight yrs, never a battery failure. Keeps batteries and bikes ready to go at all times Bought a new one as the old one was knocked off the shelf, was runover by car in garage.

I leave my 1993 CBR900RR plugged in when I'm not riding it - the first battery lasted 9 years. I am still on battery #2 for my 10th summer and it shows no signs of quitting now. I have one hooked up to each of my 4-wheelers and ordering another now to swap around with my other "sunny day" vehicles occasionally.

Love this charger!
I bought it about over a decade ago, and it's at least doubled the life of not only my motorcycle batteries, but my other vehicles, too.
I plug it in to each vehicle including my motorcycle about every 6 months, whether my battery is dead or not. My batteries life is 2x past manufacture's guarantee for my car and bike, and 3x-4x life for my 1975 Ranchero battery purchased in 1996 is still running GREAT.
The only catch is, the charger needs to detect at about 3 volts before it will start charging, so if your battery is 100 dead, you'll have to use something else, or jump it to develop a small charge before using the Tender. And most dead batteries can build up at least 3 volts if left alone for a few minutes unless they're really dead.
Anyway, I love this charger, if my charger ever dies, I'm buying the exact same thing.

Deltran Battery Tender - Faithman CA

Pros: Works according to specs.
Cons: Was not given some info... had to call. I was concerned about the unit giving off some heat, however after I called, I found out this was normal. Also, I have to ask what the ring cable was for. This info should have been disclosed.
This unit was well worth the money. It works great It even charged my car battery If, in the future, I have a battery problem on my bike, I now don't have to remove the seat to get at the battery for a battery jump start. I installed the ring terminals on my bike and now all I have to do is pull out the cable from underneath the seat and jump-start my bike. Well worth the money.
