Pros: Secure mounting, protects tank
Cons: Bag cannot be moved from one bike to another without replacing the mount on the bag
I thought that I would be able to get a separate mount for my 2004 DL650 and move the bag quickly from my FJR to my Wee. Doesn't work that way and they don't tell you that. Not only is the mounting bracket on the tank a different bolt pattern makes sense but the mounting patter is different as well and they do not interchange. That means that to move the bag from one bike to the other means removing the bracket from the bag and replacing it with that for the other mount. On top of that, the bracket on the FJR broke after using the bag for only three weeks on two different trips. It is also difficult to line up the mount each time you remove it for gas or to take into the motel. I'm sorry I didn't go with a different mfg.
