Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Pro Tires use a highly specialized polymer created for increasing performance in sportbikes. Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Pro Tires use RC Polymer technology that controls the change in rubber properties due to temperature fluctuations. Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Pro Tires use advanced modeling to design the tires for all lean angles. Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Pro Tires are rated for speeds up to 168 mph.

The New BT-016 Pro is a substantial improvement over the standard BT016 from Bridgestone. After research they decided to make the Pro model 016 because the original did not perform well in the rain. The new Pro was originally designed for use in Europe only, because they ride in the rain more often, but after some thought Bridgestone decided they should bring the better performing BT-016 pro to the USA. So If you are looking for a sport bike tire with excellent feedback over all handling, the BT-106 Pro is the right tire for you. Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Pro Rear Tire
Bridgestone has improve upon the original Battlax BT-016 line by incorporating the cutting edge MotoGP multi-compound, polymer technology. These ultra-high-performance radials have been designed to maximize the performance of all sportbikes in all conditions.

BT016 Pro utilizes a multi-compound formulated with technology ("Silica Rich EX", "RC Polymer"), for outstanding grip in all conditions

Silica Rich contains a combination of two special components to improve dry/wet/life performance

RC Polymer controls the change of properties of rubber in any temperature and assists the silica effect

Front: uses a dual-compound to provide grip in all riding conditions and parallel S-shaped grooves enhance shock absorbtion

Rear: uses a double-compound to provide stronger traction and the L-shaped grooves enhance shock absorbtion

3-D-C.T.D.M. (Comprehensive Tire Design Model) is advanced tire design technology that enables dynamic, three-dimensional simulations of tire performance at all lean angles

Provides hyper flexibility to respond to strict GP regulations

Includes good bump absorption, grip and stability during high-speed riding (W)- rated for speeds up to 168 mph

Bought these to replace a pair of Sport touring that came with My Kawi 636. They are Animals Warm up Quick & can Handle any Curve you throw them.

Great hyper tire. Gives a high degree of confidence when at high lean angles. Slow but predictable steering due to shape of front.

Great street and track day tire. Heats up quickly resulting in confident turn it. I have not ridden these in wet conditions, but I'm confident with the high silica content the tires will do well. My only surprise with the BT-016 was the Michelin type feeling that the tire likes being at full lean and is a bit more work to stand up out of the corners than previous BT tires. Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad thing, the grip and feeback is excellent, and worth the little extra work to stand the bike up. I have already purchased my second set they're in the garage ready to mount.
