Another nice helmet from Bell - turboderek CA
Recommended by Reviewer: Yes
Pros: plenty of vents, looks great
Cons: [None]
I have two Bell Vortex helmets. I was looking for another Bell that matched my Yellow 2000 Honda VFR and Yellow HRC Jacket. The RS1 RSD looks amazing with the honda yellow. The interior is a step up over the vortex being soft and unlike my Vortex it does not leave any hotspots on my head. The RSD bag is perfect for leaving at work to store the helmet. It looks amazing with the Bell Transitions SolFX Photochromatic shield.

Pros: Bang for the buck
Cons: Gloss Stiker no real paint....
besides the sticker orange graphs course back shamrock its real paint There is nothing wrong with this helmet, super comfortable padding better than nolan N90-85, hjc RPHA MAX ALIGN top of brand or even those german schuberth the inner foams are like or better than the icons hydrofoam which are really good i think, it is a really really quiet helmet over 60 you can hear something draft but what are you expecting if you have your vent open course they flow a good amount of air ... overall its a great helmet and comes with it own carrying bag that comes only with the stars so i would say its the best thing you can get for the money 250 free shiping at the end is by far one of the best mid level helmets on the market.
My right helmet - malinger CA

Pros: Graphic, Interior Pad Quality, Good balance of helmet weight
Cons: Non at all
I own many helmets Suomy Excel and Vandal, Schuberth SR1, AGV Corsa, Premier and Bell Star 2010.Even though RS1 is not a lightweight helmet at least 15xxg , but it is well balanced once you put it on, you do not feel burden with this helmet. The vent of this helmet is not as superior as Bell Star, but the quietness of the RS1 is so much better than Bell Star, that favors me to choose RS1 over Bell Star.Talk about how comfortable of the pads inside RS1. Bell Star's pad was not that much of high density emptyness, in fact the pads inside RS1 do give you a high-end comfortable touch.Overall, I give RS1 a 5 stars because it is a perfect helmet designed specific for me

Pros: Lightweight, Bell Quality, Bang for the buck, color, Well venting, No lift at speeds, Comfortable, Magnetic strap, ,
Cons: None so far
This is by far the best helmet u can get forcthe money. Just compare it to other one at this price. I got it on sale at unbeatable 229 from CompAc. ThanksIt's lightweight, vents really well, it's one of the more comfortable helmets out there i like wearing it more than a Shoei i bought for 3 times the price The color is a hit or miss depending... But i like the change as i have three other helmets in whiteblack combo colors. This should go well with my black outfits. Anyway, a no brainer for me- 5 stars

Pros: Color, quiet, design
Cons: Just didn't fit my head
Great helmet, zero fog issues, well ventilated. Only grip is it didn't fit my head as well as some other brands but that's just my noggin. It's a little on the globe side of shapes, rather then the shoei oval shapes. Other than that its a gorgeous looking helmet on a black bike.

The helmet is excellently designed & lightweight. The air circulation is great & the little nuances like the chin support & the magnets in strap are brilliant.

Great Bang for the Buck - LIRider NY

Pros: ComfortFit, Very Quiet, Light Weight
Cons: None discovered yet.
Purchased a large based on 58.5cm head measurement and the fit is excellent. Have been riding in a Scorpion EXO-400 for the past three years also size large and the RS-1 is considerably lighter, quieter and more comfortable than the old helmet. I really liked my Scorpion but the new Bell is just so much better. Visor installation and adjustment is very simple and precise. I haven't had a chance to verify airflow just yet riding in January in the Northeast when it's best to keep the vents closed but I'm sure it will be as good or better than my old lid in that respect. There was some noise noticeable at higher speeds 70mph that I attribute to the closed vents but it wasn't terrible. I've already installed my Scala Rider Q2 headset using the foam speaker kit for the Bell Star not easy to find but relatively inexpensive and the fit is perfect. Given the closeout pricing, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Pros: Fits like a glove, soft and comfortable
Cons: not quite as brite in color as I thought it would be
Bell has a good name and this is my first Bell helmet and with the way it fits it won't be my last. I shopped all over the net and serveral bike shops near me and found no better pricing than here. I really liked the helpful and informative videos offered on all your helmets on your web site. All in all I am now a customer for life at Competition Accessories. Great products, great prices and very good customer service.
Bell RS1 RSD helmet - Central Texas TX

Pros: Fit, low wind noise, light weight
Cons: No internal visor, difficult to get sunglasses on.
Wear medium size and RS1 fits as expected. Worn Icon helmet until this one. While the Icon helmet is good the RS1 provides better wind noise reduction, lighter weight and better fit. Color and design gets great comments and is reflective. Comes with clear face shield. Highly recommend.
Amazing helmet for the bucks - WaynoJ WA

Pros: Great fit, amazing ventilation, fantastic price
Cons: So-so graphics in the RSD Flash version
Let me start off by saying I also own a Bell Vortex helmet Attack graphics, so I'm familiar with the Bell fit and build quality. I'm very happy with the Vortex, but I found that in the size XL, which I require, it is just loose enough that it pushes back into my glasses at moderately high speeds 65. I recently attended the International Motorcycle Show in Seattle and was able to try on an RS1 in XL, and the difference in fit is noticeable. The RS1 is very slightly narrower, just enough that it still fits me in an XL but stays in place much better. Product descriptions on the Bell website describe it as race fit, which makes sense when you experience it at high speed. As for other aspects of the RS1, the ventilation is absolutely amazing, significantly better than the Vortex, which has great ventilation in it's own right. The graphics aren't the greatest -- it doesn't show in the pictures, but there are sparklies all over the surface of the RSD Flash which give it a kind of girly look no offense, ladies, but sparklies aren't good for a guy. If it weren't for that, I would call this the perfect helmet, especially at the 249.99 price at which I purchased it 100 cheaper than any other version of the RS1.

The Bell RS1 is a wonderful helmet for the money. I have had Shoei, HJC, older Bells, AGV and more and this is by far my favorite. I called and got had them answer a few questions for me and then ordered online. They really helped me get the helmet I wanted at the price I needed.

Pros: Good Value
Cons: none
The day after I received this wonderful helmet, I realized there was a price check of 50 dollars. Bad timing on my part. After wearing it around town I knew It didn't matter, this helmet rocks. I consider the look sort of retro, which matches my bike. Can you give me a deal on the smoked visor The sun is starting to poke itself through the clouds up here in WA. state.
Bell RS1 RSD Flash Helmet - Day Ryder CT

Pros: Great fit and feel. Plush interior, excellent shield mechanism..
Cons: Rattle at speed from the forehead air vent while closed at certain angles..
Love this helmet. Would prefer that the clear coat was applied over a thin water color mask instead of the vinyl sticker so it would look more upscale or have no color at all.. I guess that is what made it less expensive as not many buy this far out color scheme. I love the fit, lightness and how quiet it is.. It is relatively warm in cold weather and did not have a foggin problem. I did hear a rattle coming from the forehead vent at times at certain angles. Need to put more Miles's on it as it is cold in the NE and only rode about 30 miles so far one day.
