I had the misfortune to crash test one of these last summer and it held up fine during a roll on my head across the pavement. I'm still here because of this helmet. I immediately bought another and the old one hangs in my garage as a testament. It bears a nice diagonal scar from front to back that could have been my scalp.
It is light and comfy and I haven't had a day to hot for it mine is light silver, maybe the light color prevents overheating.
The only complaint I have is the lack of a securing system for the excess chin strap after it passes through the D rings. On a windy day, you can get a pretty good beating on the neck from it.

This helmet is comfortable and a good value for the price until you ride with it in hot weather. It has absolutely no ventilation system. You should not ride any length of time longer than less than an hour or your brain will be fried over easy in this helmet. It looks as if there is an air dam in the visor, but it leads to the outer shell of the helmet. it is a faus air dam. Bell must intend this helmet to be worn only in Decemebr in the Klondike.
