A helmet is first and foremost an Energy Management System with the New Flash Graphic. From ventilation to aerodynamics, shield systems, radio, blue tooth and graphics – everything comes secondary, and none should ever interfere with the helmet’s number-one job of Impact Energy Management!
Arai looks to the incredibly strong shape of an egg for inspiration, with the smooth uninterrupted spherical shape transferring stress loads more evenly across it’s entire surface.
The absence of exaggerated edges or protrusions in the shell is not a lack of creativity, but an commitment to maintaining the integrity of the shell with impact performance in mind.
