For the money, the Alpinestars Tech Road Gore-Tex gloves should be one of the best cool and or inclement weather gloves available. A has incorporated some of the best protective features from their high-end race gloves which I really like. The TPU knuckles, pinky finger roll bridge is that really a common injury and the TPU scaphoid slider on the palm are features you'd expect on the best race gloves and the Tech Roads deliver. The leather feels substantial in all the right places without feeling bulky allowing excellent mobility from a glove of this type. I welcome the visor wipe and the gloves felt broken-in out of the bag and super comfortable. The Gore-Tex liner and fleece interior also make for a nice, dry and cozy home for your hands. That is, though, if it's above 40F. I rode at highway speeds at around 40 degrees the other day. After only about 20 minutes I could feel my pinky and ring fingers getting chilled - they were getting numb after another 10 minutes. These are not gloves for the dead of winter. I added some liners, which helped some, but they still got cold. Fit is a little off for me too. I wear A GP-Plus and GP-Pro gloves in XL absolutely perfectly. The fore fingers and thumbs in the Tech Roads are just a smidgen too long in XL and going to a Large doesn't work for the rest of the glove. No digging for my wallet at the gas pump without taking the gloves off first for me. Another minor annoyance is the weak reflective piping. If you're going to put it on the glove at least make it effective If you ride sport bikes year-round and want a glove that will protect as well as your gloves you wear on track, then the Tech Roads should fit the bill. They look cool, will keep your hands warm to an extent, give great feel and look to protect well in a fall. Undoubtedly, these are not the gloves for really cold commuting or touring without heated liners and or grips. If you need a dedicated winter glove you could probably find a more suitable glove at this price.
