An aerodynamic shell design constructed using an advanced lightweight composite poly-alloy.
A flip-up, flush-fit, quick-release, single-turn screw face shield with side covers. The shield itself is optically correct, compound-curved, scratch-resistant and protects against UV-rays

I like the helmet but it arrived with some chipped paint at the nose section.The sizing very large. Extra large in Scorpion helmets fits me tight. this extra large is very loose.

Put 100 miles on the the FX-39 and am very happy so far. It is a good fit for my Long Oval Head without any pressure spots and has a quality interior. The shield is perfectly clear w/o distortion with 3 detents. Changing the lens can be a chore the first time and it requires tools for the swap.
The chin strap is a little close to the neck and has a euro style quick connect buckle. The chin strap slack must be tucked to avoid slapping you or cut off.
Sound, like all DS helmets is louder than a street fullface but, not any louder than my old XD1. Wear ear plugs.
Over all excellent buy for the price.
AFX HelmetsDetermine the circumference of the widest part of your head by using a flexible tape measure. Generally, the widest part of a person's head is the area 2.5cm (1") above the eyes and ears. However, we suggest measuring at a few points both above and below that line to determine the greatest measurement before referring to our size tables. We also suggest testing the fit of a helmet one size smaller and one size larger then what the chart recommends. No helmet can provide protection if it's too uncomfortable to wear. |
