    Video Reviews
Hey guys this is Reuben with Competition Accessories. I'm here to talk to you today about HJC's new Symax 3 modular helmet. Now the Symax 3 is the replacement for the Symax 2 . We have one of those up here. Now This is one of HJC's Premium modular helmets. The reason that it was set apart from their other modular helmets is because it uses a fiberglass shell , and that's not changing in the Symax 3. It uses an advanced fiberglass spectra deposit weaved shell thorough the helmet , the chin bar is poly carbonate to keep the weight down. The rest of the helmet is going to be that fiberglass shell. The fiberglass is able to be made to be thinner a little bit lighter and is definitely going to be stiffer then the poly carbonate variety of modular helmets from HJC. Real quick were going to take a look at the differences between the Symax 2 and the Symax 3. A couple main differences , biggest thing that i noticed right off the bat is the amount of ventilation you get. The old Symax2 you had a chin bar vent. Same thing here except its going to open a little bit differently , its going to direct air up onto the face shield. But where you really start to see a difference is the upper portion you see the air vents you see on the Symax2 has just two small holes in the front that's going to bring air inside the helmet. With the Symax 3 your actually getting two ram air scoops. They are still closeable with a slider switch , but its just going to draw a lot more air into the helmet. You spin it around and look at the back of the helmets you'll see that there's even more upgrades here. You actually have a built in rear wing on the Symax 3 vs. the Symax 2 where you just have that round basic shape . Symax 2 just has these two exhaust vents at the back of the helmet here and that was it. The Symax 3 your actually going to have exhaust vents coming out from underneath this spoiler here and then have a couple stacked vents at the base of the helmet as well, to allow that warm air to escape. Getting hot air out of a helmet is the best way to cool a helmet .As air passes over a helmet its going to create an area of low pressure and its going to draw warm air right out side, right out of the helmet. Now another thing they've improved (and well show you how this works in just a second) there's an internal sun-shield visor and its definitely one of the popular features about this helmet. With the Symax 2 it was the same type of system you basically slide it forward and that deploys the face shield, But when you release the face shield its just a real fast spring loaded motion. What they've done with the Symax 3 is actually dampened it. So its the same type of mechanism so when you release it , its dampened so its not a jarring loud sound. Some other differences if you look at the side here the profile , they've really cleaned up the area where the chin bar attaches to the helmet itself . If you take a look at it from the top down then you can actually see that its alot cleaner, so its probably going to be a lot quieter. Its probably going to flow threw the air alot better. So let me move the Symax 2 out of the way here, and lets start looking at the insides. One thing you might notice here is there are actually pin-lock posts built onto the shield here . This comes pin-lock ready so you can install a pin-lock insert .The pin lock basically goes into the inside of the shield and it creates a duel pane effect, it basically eliminates any fog. This is a very good system. This is the HJ17 shield so it is the same shield that is used on alot of other HJC helmets which means you have a huge selection of different tints and mirror shields to go on the Symax 3. Like we mentioned earlier there is an internal sun-visor. So if you slide that forward you actually have that internal visor. So adjustments on the fly very very convenient . If you happen to run under a tunnel or under some tree cover you can always quickly release it and raise it up out of the way. The chin bar itself is just a simple single button mechanism basically you pull forward on this piece here and that's going to release the chin bar.Its going to open up very nicely and smoothly. The mechanism is very nice , a strong detente up at the top so its going to be held up for you. If you take a look here you can actually see the metal to metal latch that is used to secure the chin bar. When you close this you get a good secure lock with closure. Now take a quick good look inside this helmet. The Symax3 uses a silver cool liner which is HJC's moisture lining,Its going to manage moisture really well. Your going to see the cheek pads come out really easily. This material is very soft and comfortable on the skin , its going to draw moisture on the face and keep you comfortable. You'll see that they leave the areas around your ear very thin, and the reason for that is that you can install speakers. You'll see that there's a small recess built into the helmet there for a speaker so you can easily install that . Another thing that i didn't mention is and this is another huge upgrade from the Symax 2 is they actually make this helmet Bluetooth ready. So the chatterbox xb2ih will clip right in here, basically if you pop that little panel off you'll have a little area that will just click in . The chatter box its going to integrate perfectly with this helmet, your not going to have to mount it up with a clamp or anything everything will click right into that spot. Everything has a built in channel for wiring for the speakers so its going to be a very clean instillation and it integrates with the helmet nicely. Were going to get the rest of the lining out here. For the crown liner its basically just two snaps at the back and a few little snaps at the front of the crown and that's going to come out. You'll see that they build it with alot of mesh material and other openings for that ventilation to actually get threw to your head so it keeps you very comfortable. If you look here on the inside you'll see how well they did with the air channels. You actually have lots of air passages for that air to circulate throughout the helmet , so you get cool air in that cools your head and warm air gets drawn out the back. So they have really really revamped the ventilation system on this helmets and i think its going to be definitely a very well received by the modular helmet crowd. So that is the Symax 3 from HJC.
Hey guys this is Reuben with Competition Accessories and we wanted to do a product video review of the HJC IS Max BT and BT stands for bluetooth. Thats because this helmet comes ready for the chatterbox Xbi2-H communication system. It has a panel on the side that is removable and the chatterbox unit clips right in and its got speaker pockets and channels available for the wiring. Also it has a good are for a microphone so its all ready to go. You can purchase that separately and its going to integrate perfectly with this helmet. For you touring riders that do a lot of miles especially two up, if you want to have somebody you want to stay in touch with or you have a riding buddy that you want to talk to, having a helmet with the chatterbox system in integrated is definitely the way to go. Another thing that makes this helmet extremely popular is it is a modular helmet. With a simple pull of the lever your chin bar is going to raise up and that makes it extremely convenient especially for people who wear glasses. You dont have to remove your glasses to get the helmet on. You can open up the chin bar to talk to people at lights or the gas station you know you can drink with the helmet on. Flip it open and you have access so its definitely convenient and it has a secure metal latch. Which is going to latch it down securely into place so snell does not test modular helmets, so its only DOT approved. Its a poly carbonate shell helmet. It definitely has a nice fit and finish to it. Not a whole lot of gap between the chin bar and the actual helmet itself. With a lot of less expensive modular helmets you will see the tolerances are just not what you get with HJC. Real quick we will talk about the venting, you have fairly basic venting with this helmet. There is a chin bar vent which is going to direct air in and up onto the faceshield. On the top of the helmet you have a closeable intake vent as well. Two holes at the top, now while there is only the front chin bar vent and the vent at the top of the helmet, the interior is channeled and once we get into the inside of the helmet we will be able to show you that. This is basically going to draw air up and inside the helmet so its going to keep your head cool. You will see that they actually have these vents fairly far back on the helmet and thats because this is designed with the touring rider in mind. If your on a touring motorcycle your in a more upright position and not in a tucked position. Those vents are moved further back to get up in the air flow especially for those bikes who have tall windscreens. Another thing that makes this helmet extremely popular for touring riders is it has an internal sun shield. This is a smoke shield that is built in the helmet. This makes it extremely convenient for how often you have to change your face shield out which would be basically never. You can deploy this sun shield during the day rides and then if you ride into a tunnel under some trees or into the night you basically push this button on the top and thats going to retract the sun shield. To deploy it all you do is just slide this forward. Its very intuitive you slide it forward to deploy it and press the button to retract it. That makes it very easy to operate and you dont have to fiddle around to find it. The IS MAX BT uses HJC's HJ-17 shield. What that does for you is gives you a huge selection of shields, there are all kinds of different tints and mirrored shields available for the HJ-17 because they use it on many different helmet models. This also makes changing out the shield very easy. There is basically a trigger on each side, where if you pull this its going to pop right out. To reinstall it is just the reverse you slide it right in and it is going to click right into place. It is very easy to swap out the face shields if you chose to do that. Another thing I wanted you to notice about this face shield is these littler pins here and those posts are for the pinlock system. What that is an internal shield that you can install between the two posts and the pinlock will create a seal around the inside of the face shield and you will get a dual pane shield. What that does is it is very effective at reducing fog, so if you ride in colder conditions or wet weather, fogging becomes an issue, go ahead and purchase a pinlock shield separately. Take a look at the inside of the helmet this helmet is lined with HJC's silver cool material which is moisture wicking which is going to manage moisture very well. If you ride in hotter conditions its going to help wipe the sweat away from your skin. You can remove the cheek pads as well. They built in a little mesh panel right were your ears will sit and you dont have any extra material sitting between your ear and the speaker can install. That also prevents from any discomfort that you may have because there is no extra material to press up against your ear. If you take a look here you can actually see the available space for the wiring where the communication will sit. The cheek pads can be removed by two snaps and a little bit of Velcro and they come right out and the crown liner is just a couple of snaps around the front and the back. You will see they used a lot of mesh material on the crown liner as well as the silver cool moisture wicking fabric. We talked about the channeling for the ventilation, you can see where they have air passages built into the liner and some multi-density EPS foam. This is going to progressively absorb impact and that air is going to come in through the two holes at the top and have places to go. Also it will have an area for the hot air to escape. If you a touring rider who wants the convenience of a modular helmet and you dont want something that is really cheap and you dont want to spend a whole ton of money. The IS-MAX BT falls right into the middle of the range of our lineup that we carry here at Competition Accessories. For bang for the buck it is really a good option, so check these out on our website at Competition Accessories, also make sure you subscribe to our youtube channel so you can stay up to date with all our latest product reviews. HEY WHATS UP GUYS THIS IS RUBEN WITH COMPETITION ACCESSORIES THIS IS THE ALL NEW MODULAR RPHA MAX HELMET FROM HJC THERES BEEN A LOT OF BUZZ ONLINE ABOUT THIS HELMET OVER THE PAST SEVERAL MONTHS YOU MAY HAVE HEARD IT REFERRED TO AS THE RP MAX BUT THE OFFICIAL NAME THAT THEY ARE GOING WITH IS THE RPHA MAX WHAT THEYVE DONE IS THEY HAVE TAKEN ALL OF THEIR PREMIUM FEATURES FROM THEIR RPS 10 PREMIUM ROAD RACE HELMET WHICH I HAVE UP HERE ON THE LEFT THIS IS A BEN SPIES ADDITION AND THEY HAVE BROUGHT IT OVER INTO A HELMET THATS DESIGNED FOR THE TOURING RIDER AND COMMUTING RIDER SO A LOT OF THIS TECHNOLOGY THAT HAS COME OVER FROM MOTO GP IS BEING APPLYED NOW TO THIS HELMET FROM HJC SO FANTASTIC OPTION FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DEMAND THE BEST FROM YOUR GEAR THE RPHA 10 USES THE SAME TYPE OF SHELL MATERIAL AND CONSTRUCTION ITS CALLED THE ADVANCED PREMIUM INTEGRATED MATRIX ITS A COMBINATION OF CARBON FIBER ARAMID AND FIBERGLASS FIBER IN THE SHELL ITSELF ITS A VERY LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN AS WELL AS BEING VERY STIFF SO ITS GOING TO DISPERSE THAT IMPACT OVER THE LARGEST AREA POSSIBLE ON THE SHELL ITSELF THE BIGGEST CLAIM TO FAME ON THIS HELMET IS THE LIGHTNESS TYPICALLY BECAUSE OF THE HINGES AND THE LATCHING MECHANISMS ON A MODULAR HELMET THEY TEND TO BE A LITTLE BIT MORE ON THE HEAVY SIDE WE THREW THIS ON OUR SHIPPING SCALE 3.55 LBS FOR A SIZE LARGE MODULAR HELMET THAT IS EXTREMELY LIGHTWEIGHT IN FACT ITS LIGHTER THEN A LOT OF NORMAL FULL FACE HELMETS THAT WE SELL HERE AT COMPETITION ACCESSORIES SO DEFINITELY LIGHT WEIGHT THE OTHER THING THEY BROUGHT OVER IS THE AERODYNAMICS IT IS A VERY AERODYNAMIC SHAPE BEING A MODULAR HELMET A LOT OF TIME THE INTERFACE BETWEEN THE CHIN BAR AND THE FACE SHIELD TENDS TO BE A LITTLE BIT MORE BULKY BECAUSE YOU HAVE A LOT GOING ON WITH THE HING AND EVERYTHING ON A MODULAR BUT YOU CAN SEE WITH THIS HELMET IT IS EXTREMELY FLUSH AND EXTREMELY CLEAN SO AS YOU RIDE THIS IS NOT GOING TO GENERATE A LOT OF WIND NOISE OR DRAG AND ITS ALSO NOT A BULKY HELMET IN FACT I BROUGHT THIS RPS 10 UP HERE WHICH BY THE WAY HAS BEEN RENAMED THE RPHA 10 AS WELL BUT IF YOU PUT THEM SIDE BY SIDE YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE RHPA MAX IS NOT THAT MUCH BULKIER THEN ITS ROAD RACE COUSIN SO IT IS VERY VERY LIGHT WEIGHT VERY VERY AERODYNAMIC AND THE THIRD THING ILL SAY IS THAT THE VENTILATION IS GOING TO BE VERY VERY GOOD THAT IS THE OTHER AREA WHERE OTHER MODULAR HELMETS SUFFER THIS HAS THE ADVANCED CHANNELING VENTILATION SYSTEM SO YOULL HAVE A CHIN BAR VENT HERE THAT IS GOING TO DIRECT AIR UP ONTO THE FACE SHIELD AND THEN YOU HAVE A LARGE RAM AIR SCOOP IN THE TOP THIS IS VERY EFFECTIVE AT HARVESTING AIR AND AS YOU RIDE THIS IS GOING TO BE PRESSURIZED AIR CHANNELS WITHIN THE HELMET THAT ARE GOING TO PUSH THAT AIR THREW OUT THE WHOLE HELMET AND THEN OUT THE BACK OF THE HELMET THERE IS A REAR SPOILER WITH EXHAUST PORTS SO AS YOU RIDE AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS CREATED BEHIND THE HELMET AND THAT IS GOING TO PULL WARM AIR OUT OF THE HELMET WHICH IS A VERY EFFECTIVE WAY AT KEEPING YOUR HEAD COOL IF YOU LOOK AT THE BACK OF THE RPS 10 THAT I HAVE OVER HERE YOU CAN SEE THE SIMILARITY BETWEEN THE TWO THEY HAVE OBVIOUSLY BROUGHT OVER A LOT OF THE AERODYNAMIC ENGINEERING THAT THEY LEARNED IN MOTO GP AND THEY APPLIED IT TO THIS MODULAR HELMET SO ITS VERY RARE THAT YOU CAN SEE A DIRECT CORRELATION FROM RACING EFFORTS TO SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY BUY FOR THE STREET AND FOR YOU TOURING GUYS THAT IS FANTASTIC NEWS SO YOU HAVE GREAT EXHAUST VENTS OUT THE BACK HERE YOULL SEE THAT AERODYNAMICS AGAIN OF THE SHELL ARE VERY GOOD IT USES A SIMILAR SHIELD SYSTEM AS ITS ROAD RACE COUSIN THIS IS THE HJ 25 SHIELD AND IT HAS A CENTER LOCKING MECHANISM THIS IS GOING TO HELP HOLD THE SHIELD DOWN TIGHT AGAINST THIS GASKET TO PREVENT WATER FROM RUNNING DOWN THE TOP OF THE SHIELD IF YOU GET CAUGHT IN THE RAIN AND IT ALSO SEALS IT UP NICELY REDUCING FROM WIND NOISE SIMPLE TO OPERATE YOU CAN DO IT WITH EITHER HAND BECAUSE ITS RIGHT IN THE CENTER OF THE SHIELD AND ITS NOT IN YOUR VISION I RIDE WITH THE RPS 10 ALMOST DAILY AND IT HAS THE SAME TYPE OF SYSTEM AND WHEN ITS CLOSED ALL THE WAY YOULL SEE ITS NOT IN THE WAY AT ALL YOULL GET USED TO JUST FLIPPING UP IT RELEASES THE LOCK AND YOU CAN ROTATE IT ALL THE WAY UP YOULL SEE THERES SEVERAL D TENTS THROUGHOUT THE RANGE FOR THIS AND THERES AN EASY CRACKED POSSESSION THERE FOR LOW SPEED CITY RIDING OR IN EXTRA FOGGY CONDITIONS SPEAKING OF FOG IF THAT IS SOMETHING YOU BATTLE IT COMES WITH PIN LOCKS FOR A FOG RESISTANT INSERT WITH THEIR 100% MAX VISION INSERTS SO THIS COMES IN THE BOX WITH THE HELMET AND I PULLED IT OUT HERE AND KEEP IN MIND THIS STILL HAS THE PROTECTIVE FILM ON IT SO ITS KIND OF YELLOW LOOKING BUT WHEN YOU PEAL THAT OFF ITS GOING TO BE COMPLETELY CLEAR BASICALLY A PIN-LOCK INSERT HAS A SMALL BEAD THAT GOES ALL THE WAY AROUND AND THATS GOING TO INSTALL ON THE INSIDE OF THE SHIELD IF YOU SEE ON THE SIDE HERE THERE ARE SOME POSTS ONE ON EACH SIDE OF THE SHIELD THOSE ARE GOING TO LINE UP WITH THE CORRESPONDING NOTCHES ON THE PIN-LOCK INSERT AND YOUR GOING TO INSERT THAT ON THE INSIDE OF THE SHIELD YOU WILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE SHIELD TO DO THAT BUT ITS GOING TO CREATE A DUEL PAYNE EFFECT YOU WILL HAVE A LITTLE BEAD OF AIR BETWEEN THE INNER SHIELD AND THE ACTUAL EXTERNAL FACE-SHIELD IT IS UNBEATABLE WHEN IT COMES TO ANTI FOG PROPERTIES IVE USED THIS I USE THESE THROUGHOUT THE WINTER ANY TIME ITS RAINING OR COLD OUT FOG IS ALWAYS AN ISSUE YOU WILL SEE THAT THERE IS A BREATH DEFLECTOR BUILT INTO THIS HELMET AND THAT CHIN-BAR VENT IS GOING TO DIRECT AIR UP ONTO THE CHIN UP ONTO THE FACE SHIELD BUT WHEN THAT IS JUST NOT ENOUGH THIS IS GOING TO REALLY REALLY DO A GOOD JOB AT REDUCING FOG AND YOULL SEE THAT THAT MAX VISION SHIELD THE PIN-LOCK REALLY COVERS A VERY LARGE AREA OF THE FACE SHIELD ITSELF SO YOUR NOT GETTING THAT EDGE IN YOUR VISION YOU GET PLENTY OF VISION OUT OF THE HELMET TAKING A LOOK AT THE FACE SHIELD MECHANISM IT IS VERY SIMPLE TO OPERATE YOU HAVE TRIGGERS ON THE SIDES HERE TO OPEN IT YOUR JUST GOING TO PULL BACK AND YOULL SEE THAT IT JUST POPS THE SHIELD RIGHT OFF SO VERY SIMPLE TO SWAP SHIELDS OUT EASY TO DO YOU CAN ALWAYS SWAP THAT OUT FOR DARK SMOKE OR IF YOU NEED TO INSTALL THE PIN-LOCK ITS EASIER TO KIND OF SPREAD THE SHIELD OUT LIKE THAT LAY IT DOWN IN CLICK THE PINS INTO PLACE AND THEN LET IT SPRING BACK THE OTHER BIG CLAIM TO FAME ON THIS HELMET IS YOU DO HAVE AN INTERNAL SUN VISOR SYSTEM YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED WHEN WE LOOKED AT THE BACK OF THE HELMET THE SLIDER AS YOU SLIDE THAT FORWARD ITS GOING TO DEPLOY THE INTEGRATED SUN SHIELD AND IT IS SPRING LOADED SO THERE IS A BUTTON AT THE TOP HERE WHEN YOU PUSH THAT IT RECESSES UP BACK INTO THE SHELL SO ITS UP OUT OF THE WAY QUICKLY AND YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED THAT IT IS A NICE DAMPED MOTION ITS VERY SMOOTH TO OPERATE YOU CAN CLICK THAT DOWN AND IT DOESN'T MAKE A LOUD JARRING NOISE THERES NOT A WHOLE LOT OF SPRING PRESSURE THATS REALLY JARRING ITS JUST A SMOOTH RETRACTABLE MOTION TO REINSTALL THE OUTER FACE-SHIELD YOUR JUST GOING TO LINE THIS POST UP HERE AT THE TOP AND JUST GIVE IT A PRESS AND ITS GOING TO CLICK RIGHT BACK INTO PLACE SO VERY QUICK AND EASY EXTERNAL SHIELD CHANGES IF YOU NEED TO DO THAT OBVIOUSLY IT BEING A MODULAR HELMET YOU PROBABLY WANT TO SEE IT OPENED THERE IS A LATCH AT THE BOTTOM IT IS OUT OF THE WAY WHICH IS NICE SO IF YOU GO DOWN AND HIT YOUR FACE IN AN ACCIDENT THERES NO LATCH ON THE FRONT OF THE FACE SHIELD THAT WOULD CATCH AND POSSIBLY PULL THE CHIN BAR OPEN ON YOU SO ITS NICE AND FLUSH THERE GIVE IT A PULL AND AGAIN VERY SMOOTH PREMIUM HELMET MOTION THERE IT IS VERY SMOOTH IT HAS A SOLID DE TENT AT THE TOP THATS GOING TO HOLD IT UP AND YOU CAN SEE THAT THERE IS A VERY LARGE OPENING THERE MODULAR HELMETS ARE VERY POPULAR ESPECIALLY BETWEEN THE TOURING COMMUTING CROWD BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE CONVENIENCE OF BEING ABLE TO TALK TO PEOPLE AT LIGHTS GAS STATIONS YOU CAN TAKE A DRINK IF YOUR A SMOKER ITS JUST VERY CONVENIENT TO BE ABLE TO OPEN THAT UP AND HAVE ACCESS AND NOT HAVE TO REMOVE YOUR HELMET EVERY TIME THE INTERIOR IS LINED WITH WHAT THEY CALL COOL 4 EVER FABRIC IT ACTUALLY USES SOME GINGKO EXTRACT IN THE FABRIC ITSELF AND ITS SPECIFICALLY MADE TO STAY VERY COOL MOISTURE LOCKING AND ITS GOING TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF HEAT THAT IS GOING TO RETAIN IN THE PADDING AROUND YOUR FACE SO THATS GOING TO MAKE YOU JUST THAT MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE IN HOT WEATHER AND IT IS FULLY REMOVABLE SO IF YOU WANT TO EXCHANGE CHEEK PADS FOR DIFFERENT SIZE OR IF YOU JUST NEED TO REMOVE IT TO CLEAN IT UP YOU CAN ALWAYS DO SO BUT YOU CAN SEE THE CHEEK PAD IS NICE AND CONTOURED ITS DESIGNED TO CRADLE YOUR FACE VERY EASILY AND VERY COMFORTABLY THEY ALSO INTEGRATE A NICE LITTLE CURTAIN LINE YOULL SEE THERES AN EXTRA LITTLE LAYER OF MATERIAL AROUND THE BASE A LOT OF WIND NOISE IS GENERATED AROUND THE BASE OF THE HELMET IF WIND IS ROLLING ACROSS THE BOTTOM HERE AND ENTERING AROUND THE BASE OF THE HELMET AT ALL THAT IS GOING TO CAUSE A LOT OF WIND NOISE IT WILL BE A LITTLE BIT BETTER SEAL AROUND THE BASE OF YOUR JAW LINE THERE IS ALSO A CHIN CURTAIN BUILT IN WHICH YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED THATS GOING TO PREVENT AIR FROM COMING UP AND CIRCULATING IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE AND THEY ACCTUALLY INCLUDE A CHIN CURTAIN EXTENSION SO IN THOSE COLDER MONTHS YOU DONT WANT THAT MUCH AIR AND YOU WANT TO BLOCK AS MUCH AIR AS POSSIBLE YOU CAN JUST STICK THAT ON THERE JUST LIKE THAT AND THATS GOING TO GIVE YOU EVEN MORE OF A SEAL FOR THOSE TYPES OF CONDITIONS THE CROWN LINER CAN ALSO BE REMOVED A COUPLE SNAPS AROUND THE BACK AND AROUND THE FRONT AS WELL YOU JUST HAVE TO KIND OF WORK IT GENTLY AND IT WILL COME RIGHT OUT SO THERES ACTUALLY A TAB ON THE SIDE YOULL SEE THAT YOU HAVE TO KIND OF PULL OUT OF THE WAY AND THEN YOU CAN REMOVE IT BUT I DID JUST WANT TO PULL IT OUT TO SHOW YOU THAT IT IS A VERY OPEN DESIGN SO AS AIR FLOWS THREW THAT ADVANCED CHANNELING SYSTEM ITS GOING TO ACTUALLY BE REACHING YOUR SKIN FLOW OVER YOUR HEAD AND THAT WARM AIR CAN ACTUALLY EXHAUST OUT THE BACK OF THE HELMET IN FACT IF YOU LOOK AT THE EPS FOAM LINER WHICH IS ON THE INSIDE OF THE HELMET HERE YOULL SEE THOSE AIR CHANNELS THAT WE WERE TALKING ABOUT SO AIR IS GOING TO FLOW IN THREW THE TOP VENT AND GO RIGHT OVER THE TOP OF YOUR HEAD AND OUT THE BACK YOU CAN CHECK OUT THE RHPA MAX ON OUR WEBSITE AT COMPACC.COM JUMP ON THERE AND CHECK OUT OUR PRICES THEY RETAIL FOR AROUND 475.00 IT IS A PREMIUM MODULAR HELMET BUT I WOULD SAY IT IS WORTH EVERY PENNY ITS LIGHT WEIGHT ITS COMFORTABLE ID SAY ITS VERY TRUE TO SIZE AND ITS JUST GOING TO BE A FANTASTIC HELMET FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE OUT THERE WITH IT CLOSED YOU ALMOST CANT EVEN TELL ITS A MODULAR HELMET THEY HAVE DONE A REALLY GOOD JOB WITH THIS ONE
