Schuberth, the originator of the Modular Helmet. The creator of the Schuberth C3 Helmet. Newly redesigned, the C3 has been redesigned and refined with numerous upgrades. New for 2013, the Shuberth C3 Pro Helmet has been released.
Much like the original C3, the C3 Pro is a superior quality motorcycle helmet with features you won’t find in any other modular helmets. Schuberth, being the inventor of the flip-up helmet, understands what it takes to engineer a top notch modular helmet. Ladies, Schuberth doesn’t forget about you. The C3 Pro Womens Helmet is also available… in pink!
Cruising the highway with a Schuberth C3 Pro is extremely quiet. Rolling in at only 82db when pushing 60mph. Actually, Schuberth says it is the quietest modular helmet in the world and 2 decibels lower than the already super quiet C3. More amazingly, it has 5 decibels less of wind noise than their pricey SR1 Helmet. The aerodynamics of the C3 have been upgraded in the Pro giving it a more sporty look by adding a subtle spoiler, but still keeping the overall look of the C3. So far, it looks like the Schuberth C3 Pro will be a top-notch, super quiet, sleek looking modular helmet.
I know what you’re thinking… with a high dollar helmet you would hope so. And you are right. But let’s take a seat on the padded leather to see what the Schuberth C3 Pro has that makes it worth the price.
Schuberth knows Helmets. That’s obvious. Know this, they build helmets that protect firefighters, police officers, race car drivers, and even make military helmets. What that means is Schuberth Helmets are safe, comfortable and must be lightweight so they can be worn for long durations in extreme conditions. The C3 Pro is built from Glass Fibre (fiberglass) and Dyneema with a reinforced sandwich construction, which makes it unbelievably lightweight at just 3.7lbs (small shell helmet).
The aerodynamics of the helmet have been designed and tested using a wind tunnel. Using a wind tunnel allowed Schuberth to lower wind noise and improve the shape of the shell with a spoiler, providing less drag at high speeds, which makes this an ideal touring helmet.
A new venting and exhaust system has been developed for the Schuberth C3 Pro. With this system, the C3 Pro will have 60% more airflow than the original C3. Your head should remain comfortable with plenty of fresh air, even on those long trips.
Schuberth has upgraded about 20 aspects of the C3 to create the C3 Pro. This helmet will certainly be a superior helmet. As soon as we get one of the helmets in, we will post a full detailed video review. These helmets will also be available in C3 Pro Hi-Viz.
