Speed Master confirmed its entry as a CRT in the MotoGP for the 2012 season. Anthony West will be stepping up into the MotoGP class to race for the Speed Master team.
West has a few MotoGP races under his belt, but the last two years he has raced in the Moto2 class with MZ Racing.
Speed Master’s CRT entry will use an Aprilia engine. Speed Master has not decided on a chassis yet.
West, 30, first raced in the premier class in 2001. He rode the majority of the 2007 and 2008 seasons in the MotoGP with Kawasaki before stepping down to the Moto2 class.
