Dainese will be opening its first franchise in the USA and its third D-Store during a Grand Opening celebration next week in Chicago. The Grand Opening of the new Dainese D-Store will be this Sunday, and will involve guest appearances by Nicky Hayden and Kevin Schwantz.
Dainese is the world leader in protective apparel for motorcycling, as well as skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking. The Italian company was founded in 1972, and its apparel has been on the backs of legendary riders like Giacomo Agostini, Barry Sheene, and Freddy Spencer. Dainese has a rich motorcycling history, but also a bright motorcycling future. Dainese products are currently worn by riders like Valentino Rossi, Marco Simoncelli, Nicky Hayden, and Max Biaggi.
Lino Dainese started venturing out into markets outside of motorcycles in 1995, and now Dainese is the trusted source when it comes to skiing, biking, or horseback riding gear. The new D-Store Chicago will carry complete collections for all of the lines that have made Dainese famous over the years.
“Dainese D-Stores are flagship stores where Dainese and AGV collections are showcased in especially designed surroundings enhancing the customers’ experience,” Dainese said in a statement. “D-Stores are currently located in San Francisco, Orange County, Milan, Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Moscow, Athens, Manchester, Köln, Munich, Wien, Düsseldorf and Yokohama.”
The D-Store in Chicago will celebrate its Grand Opening this Sunday, April 10th, at 11am. MotoGP Champion Nicky Hayden and 1993 World GP Champion Kevin Schwantz will be on hand to sign autographs for fans, and to help Dainese celebrate the new store.
D-Store Chicago is located at 1408 N. Meacham Road, Schaumburg, IL 60173. If you can’t make it to the grand opening, regular store hours are Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 7pm, Sunday 11am to 5pm.
