The Long Beach, CA stop of the International Motorcycle Show (IMS) was encouraging. Folks displaying seemed positive, and the place was packed with paying customers. Since this hasn’t been a great year for new models or grand innovation, many manufacturers included exotic race bikes or customs.
Honda was a case in point. The newest bike in the Honda display was the new CBR250R single sport model, so Honda spiced up the display with the Baja-winning CRF450X as well as one each CRF250R and CRF450R works motocrossers.
There were three radical customs derived from the new Fury production chopper. But the traffic stopper was a roped off pair of Cobra customs based on the new Honda Shadow RS. One was channeling a Honda 305 scrambler and the other was mistaken by show-goers for a Honda RS750 factory Honda dirt tracker.
