Ryuichi Kiyonari and Michael Rutter, who are also in contention for the title, finished in second and third. Tommy Hill, who currently leads the series, finished more than .9 seconds behind Brookes’ time in 7th place.
In the second free practice session, James Ellison beat out all of the title fighters for the first place spot. Ellison may not be in contention for the Championship, but he is still looking to finish his season strong.
